( ;D --> Vitalic is the alter ego of Pascal Arbez, a French programmer/multi-instrumentalist who blends electro, techno, and house -- as well as elements of classical, rock, Italo-disco, and '70s electronic music -- into a sound that recalls the work of fellow countrymen Daft Punk and Air, but has its own hard-edged playfulness. Arbez played trombone as a child and young adult, but became fascinated with dance music when he heard Daft Punk in the mid-'90s. Inspired by them as well as Giorgio Moroder, Arbez switched to analog synths and began writing and recording as Dima.)

Even from her earliest works, featuring piano as a primary instrument, Bush wove together many diverse influences, melding classical music, rock, and a wide range of ethnic and folk sources, producing a unique amalgam which has continued throughout her career. Later recordings have moved farther from a rock base, however, notably with the release of The Dreaming in 1982, where she experimented heavily with the then-new technology of sampling.)

From the first moments of its quiet opening piano chords and choir-boy vocal performed by her son, Bertie, she takes us on a journey deep into the heart of Winter in a series of seven songs, each of which revels in the contemplative and introspective, rather as if we're sitting with her by a fire while she sits at her piano musing on the nature of love, life, language, and the album's central theme, snow.)

Beginning with a more experimental approach as he found his feet in the game, his production styles varied greatly, taking inspiration from legends such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Jack Beats, and The Prodigy, to name just a few, but it was not until late 2009 when he began touching upon what we know as 'Dubstep'.

The late outsider rockabilly artist Hasil Adkins is also cited, as well as country music star Johnny Cash. Vainio often remarks that their music is a merger of these two schools of music, taking the harsh and pure sounds typical of industrial techno and spacing them out into longer, subdued soundscapes familiar to instrumental reggae and dub. Some of their equipment is made by third "extra" member Jari Lehtinen. These and other custom made instruments are responsible for creating the sounds typical to Pan Sonic's music. They also use samplers and an MPC2000 sequencer. With an undeniable instinct for the pleasantly irritating, the drastic and the dreamy, Popp pioneered “glitch” and “clicks & cuts” – and continues to inspire and provoke a new generation of musicians to this day. Oval's new music is functionally much closer to his older music than to anything else, if a bit more skeletal-- nicely harmonized blips and smears of abstracted noise (with some relationship to plucked-string timbres a lot of the time), rhythms that sometimes splatter freely and sometimes snap to a regular pulse. Extrawelt
www.myspace.com/extrawelt
( ;D --> The future of powerful, breathtaking electronic music by Extrawelt (Arne Schaffhausen & Wayan Raabe). Their sound incorporates minimal, progressive and techno, aimed squarely at blowing holes in sound systems. With more than 10 Original Productions and dozens of remixes, Extrawelts’ tank-like driving bass lines, powerful drum beats and blend of menacing, droning, echoing synths are impressing everyone from your 8 year old sister to some of the most prolific DJs in the world including Sasha, John Digweed, James Holden and Sven Vath. Early on Extrawelt’s productions quickly caught the ear of James Holden, who signed their first track to his own Border Community Label. James gave the track a working title “soopertrack” which stuck, and soon became a manifesto for their music, producing and releasing dance floor bomb after bomb, through labels including the Iconic Cocoon label, Traum, Great Stuff and Giant Wheel.)

www.facebook.com/Aiboforcen
( ;D --> After the release of two CD albums ("Elixir Lytique" & "Face (of) Death"), Belgium's Aiboforcen disappeared from the scene to work on various projects. This break allowed them to strike back with a more mature and better mastered type of sound on the "Sons Palliatifs" album which closed their trilogy around the "near death experience" theme, but especially confirm their open-minded song-writing attitude as well as the complexity of their music arrangements. Released in June 2004, their 4th album “Kafarnaüm” offers a complex and modern mixture of eclectic electronic styles ranging from harsh EBM to crunching power industrial through dark trip hop with a certain future pop touch and their trademark combination of harsh male growls and sensual female vocals. Extremely rich in diversity (including an astounding plethora of guest vocalists), this surrealistic album impressively holds a cohesive red line centered on Benoît Blanchart's uniquely intricate song-writing skills, attitude and vicious sampling manipulations, channeled by the recurring lyrical theme of mental and physical chaos.)

( ;D --> Formed in 1994 by Geert de Wilde as one of the first Belgian authentic dark electro bands, IC 434 quickly got signed on Dirk Ivens' revitalized Body Records label. Well known for their strong live act, the band collaborated over the years with a whole list of people such as Nicolas Van Meirhaeghe (Empusae), Johan Van Roy (Suicide Commando) and Guy Van Mieghem (as Geert joined Vomito Negro in the early 2000's).)

( ;D --> Infacted Recordings announces the release of the 5th album of the Belgian electro project IC 434. The album will be out on December the 9th, 2011. The album is the first since the 2008 album "Bacteriate". With a band name referring to a galactic cloud, the new material deals again with subjects as society criticism, animal abuse, archeological mysteries and astronomical descriptions, linked with very personal experiences Geert de Wilde has had with death and mental pain. Geert: ""Anhedonia" is defined as the inability to experience pleasure from activities usually found enjoyable." The sound of the 12 "Anhedonia" tracks is completely based on the late 80's Korg M1, with only a couple of additional samples. Interesting move you may say.)

Monolith

( ;D --> Monolith started as a soloproject in 1997, formed by the Belgian electronic music veteran and producer Eric Van Wonterghem (ex-Klinik and member of Sonar and Insekt). After the first release "Compressed form", an ambient_industrial soundscape, the next albums "Tribal globe” and “Labyrinth" are well recieved in the (independent)music magazines and Monolith starts performing live all over Europe, Canada and the USA, the result is the "Disco buddha" clubhit… Monolith produces a experimental sound which is a mixture from industrial, ambient and ebm sounds created with the latest technologies and mixed with lots of outboard analog gear. Repetitive loops, hypnotising electronic sequences and carrying rhythmics take you into a multi-coloured journey through electro and industrial landscapes while each time incorporating new exotic elements and using vocal samples and guest vocalists when relevant. Elaborated electronic music arrangements which speak to both body and mind! Between modern urban dance and cold minimal electro/industrial. The band also welcomes a new member aboard, namely Eric’s wife Hilde Ivens, yes the sister of Dirk Ivens, who adds live vocals as well as live video-mixing.)
