New Order

www.neworder.com
( ;D --> New Order are an English rock band formed in 1980 and currently consisting of Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert, Phil Cunningham and Tom Chapman. The band was formed in 1980 by Sumner (vocals, guitars, keyboards and synthesisers), Peter Hook (bass and vocals) and Morris (drums, electronic drums, keyboards and synthesisers) – the remaining members of Joy Division, following the suicide of vocalist Ian Curtis – with the addition of Gilbert (keyboards, synthesisers and guitars). By combining post-punk and electronic dance music, New Order became one of the most critically acclaimed and influential bands of the 1980s. Though the band's early years were shadowed by the legacy and basic sound of Joy Division, their experience of the early 1980s New York City club scene increased their knowledge of dance music and helped them incorporate elements of that style into their work. The band's 1983 hit "Blue Monday", the best-selling 12-inch single of all time, is one example of how the band transformed their sound.)

Dirt  basslines EP

alfamatrix.bandcamp.com/album/dirt-basslines-ep
( ;D --> The leaders of the elektro industrial music movement in Brazil are ready to strike back again with an extended new EP release! Since their return on the forefront of the EBM scene, São Paulo's electronic music pioneers Fab and Gui (ex-AGHAST VIEW) have already added 2 full length albums plus 2 EP's to their expanding discography. In 2015, the alluring duo AESTHETISCHE brings back their unique blend of electronics on this new 9-track EP, mixing the old and the new, the raw and the melodic... a fresh and innovative approach to post-industrial EBM. "Dirt and Basslines" (dB) aims at an electronic overexposure of hard and massive beats at times and melancholic / darker tunes at others. It takes us from the harsh, loud and noisy opener song "Dirt" to the hyper melodic technoid dance groove of "Mercy On Me" featuring the hypnotizing voice of Brazilian female vocalist Lisa N., while label mates HALO IN REVERSE gives a HATE DEPT. vs NIN additional twist to the release with their "Anarchy" remix of "Dirt"...
AESTHETISCHE once again display their strong ability of toying with sound diversity while keeping the pace, high and solid. Fans of EBM and EDM will find venue to fulfill their electronic addiction within the realms of this new musical approach. Let the "Dirt and Basslines" contaminate you. A must for fans of FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, FRONT 242 and HAUJOBB.)

Or at least so they thought. 18 years later, Per Aksel Lundgreen found 3 DAT-tapes tucked away in a box of t-shirts that had been in a basement this whole time, and on one of them was the "lost album". Immediately it was digitzed, remastered and released! This is 1997, being presented for the first time in 2015!)

Carl Finlow / Random Factor / Silicon Scally
www.carlfinlow.co.uk/
( ;D --> Carl has been writing and recording music since 1986 but his first real record involvement was co writing and producing Moments of Inertia by Circle City on Warp in 1993. After a year or so working with Leeds indie band The Bridewells and culminating in an album with them recorded in Roxy Music's studio, he settled down into writing and producing dance music. In 1994 he and DJ Ralph Lawson set up 2020 Vision Records, producing deep house flavours of their own as Wolf and Flow and under his own solo guise of Random Factor, remixing artists from around the globe including Blaze, Josh Wink, Superman Lovers and Fatboy Slim. His solo work is heavily electro tinted, reflective of the Kraftwerk era but owing as much to the likes of Drexciya, Prince, Depeche Mode and Yello. During the mid 90s he teamed up with SCSI founder Daz Quayle and wrote under the name Scarletron and also as Black Labs with two releases on Thomas Heckmann's Trope Recordings around 1995. Working under the names of Random Factor (2020 Vision) Voice Stealer (Subvert) and more recently Silicon Scally (SCSI, Satamile) he has released music on labels including Warp, Fuel, Playhouse, Paper, Trope, Sony, Klang, Arista, Soma, Pagan and Minifunk. He is also a keen remixer in his own right, having reworked tracks by 2 Lone Swordsman, Luke Slater, Swayzak, Dave Tipper and Alexi Delano. 2002 saw the release of the critically acclaimed Mr. Machine album on SCSI recordings. In 2003 the combined EP's on Device Entertainment Recordings were released as the album Electrilogy+ under his real name, Carl A Finlow. Shortly after this release, he moved to Paris.)

Small wonder then, that METROLAND, whose industrial approach to 21st century music had always targeted creating things of beauty, enthusiastically embraced Gropius’ ideas and defining motto “Art and technology - a new unity”.)

Gazelle Twin & Tom Demac - GUTS (Tom Demac Remix) (HYPELTD019) clip
soundcloud.com/hypercolour_glasstable/gazelle-twin-tom-demac-guts-1
( ;D --> Elizabeth Bernholz, AKA Gazelle Twin, has been making some serious statements of intent over the last couple of years, making some uncompromising music in uncompromising times. Her 2014 album, “Unflesh” was a demonic and unsettling collection of dark electronica and autobiographical themes that was judged by The Quietus as their ‘Album Of The Year’. Hypercolour mainstay, Tom Demac, has also been busy, cutting some deadly electro techno of late for labels like Aus Music and Drumcode, and remixing for Luke Vibert, BANKS and Tosca. These two vociferous artists collide on this HypeLTD release, a meeting of mutual minds from the nether reaches of electronic music’s vast landscape. Demac tears down the Gazelle Twin original compositions and rebuilds them with feverish candor. “Belly of The Beast” pounds hard with rubbery percussion and rattling hats like chains, as Gazelle Twin chants her mantra “I’ll beat them all at their own game…” Demac’s padded cell like production is most definitely some of the best work we’ve heard him do to date, and this dark sound aesthetic spills into his take on “GUTS”. Like an electro take on a John Carpenter score, Demac carves out a futuristic and desolate take on Gazelle Twin’s urge resistance, taking pleasure in the complexity of the mind. Two killer tracks then from this unique pairing of artists, coming on HypeLTD in February 2015 on 12” vinyl and digital single.)
